What do I wear?

You can wear gym wear and bare feet for the first 3 weeks. Once we start sitting on the pole you will progress onto wearing shorts. But don’t worry all ladies will be doing the same so no need to feel nervous at all. And please never moisturise on the day of your lesson as it will affect your grip to the pole and you will find it hard to hold on. We also ask no jewellery is to be worn, fitness tracker watches are absolutely fine to wear though.

How old do you have to be to sign up?

You are really interested in learning the art of pole fitness, but you are wondering you may not be old enough to sign up!  Well don’t worry if you are under 16 you can still come to our classes, all we ask is that you get your parents consent first and that your Mum stays with you during your lesson.

Am I too big or small to participate in your classes?

It’s sad to say but we get asked this question a lot and the answer is NO of course not!!!  After all it is a fitness class and we want to help you reach your goals no matter what size you are.  Do not worry – we make you feel completely at ease with it all!  The best thing about CPF is you all learn at the same pace so nobody will feel like they are left behind.  You all progress together and help each other along the way.  This is exactly why we don’t do drop in classes and have levels instead.

Where do classes take place?

  • Crayford Weights & Fitness
Main studio and the ladies only studio.

How many people will be in each class?

We NEVER have more than 2 ladies per pole in any of our classes. In our larger classes we can have up to 2 assistant instructors in Crayford as well as Claire teaching to assure you get the absolute best from each of your lessons.

What poles do you use?

All of our poles are top of the range X-Poles. We can have up to 12 poles up at peak times!

We have a range of different poles that are all from X-Pole. We have the X-Pole Pro in mermaid powder coated (Exclusive to CPF), a black 40mm x pole pro powder coated pole, 2 pink 45mm silicone poles, a 45mm brass pole, 45mm chrome X-Pert and a 45mm Titanium pole. This makes our classes ideal if you have trouble with your grip as there are a variety of different options to try. We also have a whole selection of grip aids to use which are free to use in class, just help yourself when ever you need it!

Do you offer any private lessons?

Yes for up to 6 ladies! Message me on our Facebook page to get booked in!

You will need to be up for a challenge as pole fitness is a great workout but can be quite complicated at times!  However, the rewards you get, the achievements reached and the sense of accomplishment far outweighs any challenges you come up against.

This activity is not recommended for women with back problems (unless approved by your GP), if you have had a recent injury or operation, or if you are pregnant.  New mum’s must have had their 6 week check before booking a class.  You should consult with your GP before commencing with any form of exercise if you have any reason to feel concerned.  No qualifications or experience are needed to start learning pole fitness.  You will be asked to fill out a disclaimer on arrival to your very first class here at CPF.  This is to confirm you have no underlying health issues we should be aware of.

On 5th November 2022 Claire’s Pole Fitness celebrated our 15 year Anniversary. I decided to completely refresh and re brand the business. We have made so many fun changes to how the classes are structured as well as introducing a ‘STAR PUPIL’ award every 6th week.

Here at CPF we are very welcoming, we have no dramas from any students and the ladies are all so friendly and encouraging. I call it my ‘pole family’ and you are welcome to be part of our family too!
